Purpose of the catalogue
The MUPEA Public Domain Literature Library aims to make public-domain works accessible with contextual guidance. No works are excluded on ideological grounds; the catalogue does not claim completeness.
Source attribution
Every book record explicitly states that the text is provided by Project Gutenberg. URLs link to the original Gutenberg edition. The catalogue does not host or modify the texts themselves. Attribution includes author names, life dates, and publisher information as supplied by Project Gutenberg.
Bibliographic records
Each entry contains: title, author(s) with birth and death years, publisher, keywords, target reader, and a catalogue note. Keywords are taken directly from Project Gutenberg records. Category assignment
